Iternary

Day 1: Welcome to Uganda

Dressed in an Okapi Bulyah Tours uniform driver/guide will pick you up from Entebbe airport and transfers you to 2 Friends Beach Hotel, which only a 15 to 20 minute drives. It’s at this same point that he/she will have to pick you after a wonderful early morning breakfast the following day to start you. If you arrive during the day there are lots of extra activities one can do in Entebbe town, like visiting the Uganda Wildlife Education center, the African craft market, the Victoria mall or visiting the botanical beach of Entebbe but all at your own expense On this Day have no any meal plan you. Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls

Just after your breakfast your guide/drive will brief you about the trip and some of expectations not forgetting the dos and the don’ts. Then you will embark on a 7 hour drive with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary which is an optional activity.

After tracking have another stop in Masindi where you will have lunch, after lunch proceed to the park, after making payments for park entry drive towards the top of the falls, here along the way you will see various animals such as warthogs, baboons among others. Our accommodation where you will relax the whole evening, have dinner and an overnight. Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda's largest, oldest and one of the most exciting parks in Africa. With the impressive and powerful Murchison waterfall and its remarkable animal populations, this is a must visit in the Pearl of Africa. There are superb activities on offer such as a boat safari or Delta safari on the Nile. The river divides the park between a Northern and Southern section as it makes its way through multiple rapids and waterfalls to Lake Albert. Which a game drive in the park allows you to be eye-to-eye with the African animal kingdom and you will be amazed by the amount of elephants. Also lions, antelope, waterbucks, buffaloes, hippos and crocodiles can all be spotted. Still in Uganda you have an eye on eye with the rare Rothschild Giraffe.

Day 3: Game drive and safari boat cruise underneath the falls

Just after breakfast, it will be time for adventure the park. On your game drive you will be accompanied by a professional ranger who knows where and when you will be able to see specific animals. Be sure that you will have an eye on eye with the following giraffes, elephant’s leopards, lions, different antelopes and as many birds as possible.

On this same day in the afternoon you will have an approximately 3 hour boat cruise on the Nile to watch the Murchison falls and listen the great sound of the waters, but on your cruise be alert because lots of can be seen bathing and drinking on the banks like crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, hippo's, water birds and monkeys

Day 4 Boat cruise to the Nile Delta and Transfer to Kibale

The boat cruise is a must do for every bird watcher because on the banks of the Nile delta is home of a lot birds like the Shoebill stork and many others. Here you will be able to see the Nile join into Lake Albert and still have a golden opportunity to watch Elephants, hippo’s crocodile and monkeys in the trees. We advise you do this boat cruise as early as possible to have the sun rise view another opportunity for photographers. In the afternoon we shall transfer to Fort Portal through districts like Bulisa, Hoima, Kyenjojo and Fort portal another beautiful district of Uganda, it’s the home of the Rwenzori Mountain also known at the mountain of the moon and Semuliki national park. The transfer will take 5hrs to 6hrs

Day 5: Game drive in Semuliki National park

After the morning breakfast, you will hit the road to Semuliki national park for a game drive. While there, you will see animals like buffalos, warthogs, chimpanzees, monkeys and many bird species. After the game drive, you will check out the Sempaya hot springs. At the springs, you will witness water boiling its self-using the natural forces.

On this very day after your Semuliki experience you will transfer to Kibale National Park

Day 6: Chimpanzee trekking

Kibale has one of the most successful chimpanzee tracking program in the whole east Africa. The Forest park houses to a total of 70 mammal species, most famously 13 species of primates that may be found during guided walks. These primates include Olive Baboon, Guereza Colobus, Grey- cheeked Mangabey and Red-Tailed Monkeys can be seen enjoying the trees. On your trail be sure to spot Elephants, warthogs, buffaloes, bush buck and many others who are inhabitants of this forest.

On this day under a professional guided walk you will have an opportunity of sighting the chimpanzees that share 98% of their DNA with human at a close range. The trekking normally takes 1 hour where after you shall head to Bigodi nature Swamp walk another must do for all birders. You will have a golden opportunity to watch as many as 375 bird species including the Grey- headed Olive-back, Black-capped Apalises, White –napped Pigeon, Uganda woodland Warbler, Chestnut- Winged Starling, Joyful Greenbul, Red-chested Flufftail, Red winged Francolin and many others. The incomes generated during 3 hour swamp walk is dedicated to promoting the well being of the place like building Hospitals and Schools for the Community.

After there you will hit the road for about 2 to 3 hrs heading to Queen Elizabeth National park.

Day 7: Morning Game drive and a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel

Queen Elizabeth National Park is understandably Uganda’s most popular tourist destination. The park’s diverse ecosystems, which include sprawling savanna, shady, humid forests, sparkling lakes and fertile wetlands, make it the ideal habitat for classic big game, ten primate species including chimpanzees and over 600 species of birds.

Early in the morning you will set off for a morning game drive to the Kasenyi track in search for lions, elephants, giraffes, leopards, Kobs. You will also get the opportunity to see lions preying on the huge number of Kobs in the park at a close range. Just after having lunch, you will head for the boat cruise on Kazinga channel. It’s a guarantee that you will have an eye on eye with the hippos, different water birds, locals fishing and wildlife on the lake shores and many more

Day 8: Morning game drive and transfer to Bwindi National Park

Right after an early morning breakfast, you will head for another game drive but this time in the Ishasha sector hunting for the climbing lions. From you will continue to Bwindi impenetrable national park with en route lunch.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park lies in southwestern Uganda on the edge of the Rift Valley. Its mist-covered hillsides are blanketed by one of Uganda’s oldest and most biologically diverse rainforests, which dates back over 25,000 years and contains almost 400 species of plants. More famously, this “impenetrable forest” also protects an estimated 400 mountain gorillas – roughly half of the world’s population, including several habituated groups, which can be tracked.

Day 9: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi forest National Park

After an early morning breakfast, drive to the park headquarters where you will be briefed by the park rangers about what to dos and don’ts to do while in the park, also you will be divided in group of 8. After continue and start off gorilla trekking these gentle giants as directed by the rangers.

This is a memorable and an amazing experience watching the Mountain gorillas feed, play around and also do their day to day activities. This activity can take 2 hours or even up to 8 hours since its dependent on the location and movement of the gorillas. Also expect to walk long distances in muddy and steep conditions- this will require you to have a walking stick. On meeting the gorillas you will spend one hour with them as you take photos. Later, return back to the lodge and in the evening you may choose to relax at the lodge or visit the Batwa community which will expose you to their culture basing on how they live, dance, and also hearing stories concerning their culture which will leave you amazed. From there we will have to transfer to an amazing place where you shall have dinner know as Lake Bunyonyi, the second deepest lake in Africa.

Day 10: Relaxing at Lake Bunyonyi

With the fact of lake Bunyonyi a name that means “place little birds” being the fourth deepest lake in the whole world, this lake has a lot to offer. Most of all it is the beauty of this hidden lake, its scenery will stay with you for a life time, from its 29 islands, Mountains and Virunga Volcanoes and the pleasant climate, this is a must visit to all nature, scenery and bird lovers. The lake is home to over 200 bird species that can be spotted during the nature walks,

After days of being on safari, traversing the hills and valleys of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in search of the Mountain Gorillas – Lake Bunyonyi is the perfect place to put it all into perspective, to take in the beauty of Lake, to relax and chill out and partake in one of the fun-filled things to do and see such swimming, boating, canoeing, nature walks, biking, hiking, marketplace and village visits. Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo National park

After your early morning breakfast, you will hit the road for 8 to 9 hours with en route lunch, east to Mbarara town; a major town in western Uganda and the former capital city of Ankole kingdom for 400 years until it was split during independence in 1962. From there proceed to Lake Mburo national park which is famous for its many antelopes and home to the rare Bushel’s Zebra among others that include a wide array of bird species and its famous Walk-Safari that gives you an opportunity of viewing the wild spices at a closer range.

Day 12: Morning game drive and afternoon Boat cruise

After breakfast, you driver/ guide will drive you to the park for a game drive. This game drive in Lake Mburo National Park will guarantee you herds of zebras, impalas, buffaloes, birds and so much more without driving so much. After which you will go back to the lodge for lunch, relaxation and then an evening boat cruise on the Lake. Lake Mburo boat cruise is an opportunity to see hippos, crocodiles, water bird such as the African fish eagle and the rare African fin foot. Many animals such as buffaloes and antelopes gather here to drink some water so an opportunity to enjoy wildlife most especial marine animals that you would have missed in all the other parks.. After your boat cruise, you will go back to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 13: Morning walk safari and transfer to Kampala

After breakfast, you will be met by a Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger guide who will take you through briefing and then for a safari walk on foot. This activity is suitable for those who would like to stretch their legs and view wildlife on foot.  At the moment, it’s only in Lake Mburo where you can do safari on foot. You will get an opportunity to see what you could have seen on any game drive except that this time around you will do it on foot. Check out of the lodge and drive back to Kampala with lunch served en route and if time allows we might have a stop at Mabamba swamps which is well known as the home of the many birds and more so, the Shoe-bill in case we don’t see it in Bigodi swamp or on the sunset boat cruise to the Albertine delta

Day 14: Kampala City tour and Transfer to Entebbe

After Breakfast, you will head of a city tour, this city will give you an opportunity of getting closer and seeing the different aspects of Kampala, what you will see on your walking city tour will include the old taxi park, Owino market, local crafts markets, the Kabaka’s palace, the Idi Amin torture chambers, the Kabaka’s lake (It is a man-made lake by the Kabaka himself) the independence monument and so many other landmarks. You could also enjoy some of Uganda’s interesting fast foods, such as the Rolex

In case you would like to visit various night hideouts such as clubs, restaurants, and casinos among others .Let us know so as we organize you an extra night or even more nights in Kampala but our city and the entire will end on this day around 4 pm and transfer to Entebbe international Airport for departure.
